Sharjah Institute for Heritage Reviews Institutional Strategies and Performance

Sharjah: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) held an extensive coordination meeting to discuss the foundations of its institutional work and mechanisms for development, with the aim of supporting the preservation of Emirati cultural heritage and fulfilling the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah. The meeting also focused on strengthening integration among the Institute's departments and branches, enhancing performance, and developing heritage programs to meet future demands.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was held on Thursday morning at Al Bait Hotel in the Al Muraijah area, chaired by Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of SIH. It was attended by Abubaker Al Kindi, Director of the Institute, along with directors of departments and branches from Al Dhaid, Khor Fakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn. The discussions centered on SIH policies and strategic vision, focusing on developing institutional performance and coordination. The meeting reviewed heritage programs and initiatives, explored ways to enhance service quality, and discussed the success of events and their outcomes in strengthening the Institute's cultural presence.

Dr. Al Musallam emphasized the necessity of implementing directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, aimed at preserving Emirati heritage and raising awareness of its value. He highlighted Sharjah's pioneering role in heritage protection through established projects and initiatives. He directed that programs be implemented according to approved plans, focusing on documentation, dissemination, and strengthening the Institute's local and international presence through high-quality participation.

Abubaker Al Kindi stressed the importance of continuing to develop the institutional work system and enhancing integration between departments and branches to achieve high-quality outcomes that reflect the institute's cultural role. He praised the cooperation among work teams, affirming that this harmony contributes to the success of events and programs and enhances performance efficiency.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees emphasized the importance of supporting ongoing projects and strengthening institutional integration, contributing to achieving the institute's objectives and elevating the quality of work and outputs.
