Abu Dhabi:The 13th Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF) is set to take place from October 25 to November 1, 2026, at City Centre Al Zahia and the House of Wisdom. The festival will be held under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event, organized by FANN, will highlight Italy as the Country of Honour, showcasing its cinematic and cultural heritage. The festival aims to foster creativity and cultural exchange among children and young audiences through a variety of international and Arab films, interactive experiences, and opportunities to engage with filmmakers.
Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of SIFF, expressed gratitude for the support from the leadership of Sharjah. She emphasized the importance of cinema in offering new perspectives and encouraging creativity among youth. The festival aspires to provide a platform for young audiences to explore and be inspired by different cultures and stories.
