Sharjah Ruler Attends Conclusion of 5th Forum for Arabic Teachers

Sharjah:His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, participated in the closing ceremony of the Fifth International Forum for Arabic Language Teachers. The event was organized by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) under the theme 'Linguistic Security', held at the Academy's headquarters.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony commenced with the UAE national anthem, followed by a Quran recitation by student Abdullah Al Badwawi. Dr. Muhadditha Yahya Al Hashimi, Chairperson of SPEA and SEA, highlighted Sharjah's educational accomplishments, including its high rankings in the 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). She attributed these achievements to the support of the Ruler of Sharjah and emphasized the importance of the Arabic language in education.

Al Hashimi explained that the forum's theme, 'Linguistic Security', reflects Sharjah's dedication to cultural and educational development. She acknowledged the emirate's efforts to integrate the Arabic language across all education stages and the initiatives to empower teachers, such as the 'Proud to Be a Teacher' programme.

Dr. Majid bin Muqad Al Hafi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ALECGS, stressed the forum's importance as a platform for sharing expertise and preparing for future educational needs. He highlighted the significance of linguistic security in sustaining the Arabic language's presence in education and technology.

The event also featured a film titled 'The Linguistic Impact', showcasing Sharjah's cultural achievements and the forum's role in promoting the Arabic language. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi honored the forum's partners, recognizing their contributions to supporting the Arabic language.
