Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, performed the Eid Al-Adha prayer at Sharjah Mosque in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, along with H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. They were joined by several Sheikhs, department chairmen, and senior officials.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Dr Abdullah Mansour delivered the Eid sermon, focusing on the virtues of monotheism, sincerity, and devotion to Allah. He emphasized adherence to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, and highlighted the importance of moderation and balance in Islam, warning against extremism and negligence. The sermon also touched upon the significance of the Day of Sacrifice and the reward associated with the sacrificial offering.
Sheikh Dr Mansour spoke about the blessing of having a righteous family, stressing the family's role in raising children with strong religious and moral values. He advocated for tolerance, forgiveness, and strong family ties to maintain social cohesion and harmony within the community.
The sermon concluded with prayers for continuous blessings of security and stability for the United Arab Emirates, protection for its leadership, and health and wellbeing for its citizens and residents.
