Sharjah Ruler Oversees Signing of MoU Between MOCCAE and University of Al Dhaid

Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Al Dhaid (UODH), attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) and the University of Al Dhaid. The agreement aims to enhance research and academic cooperation in agriculture and livestock, and to build national capacities.

According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed at the University of Al Dhaid by Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the MOCCAE, and Dr Aisha Ahmed Bushlaibi, Chancellor of the University of Al Dhaid. The signing was also attended by Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment. The purpose of the MoU is to establish a collaboration between the MOCCAE and UODH in supporting scientific research and studies, enhancing academic, technical, and legislative integration, and developing national capabilities in agricultural and livestock security. This initiative aligns with the UAE's strategic objectives.

The agreement also includes cooperation in implementing joint programs in the veterinary and agricultural sectors, organizing seminars, sharing experiences, and encouraging innovation. The initiative aims to develop national capacities through specialized programs. Both parties expressed their dedication to cooperation, which is expected to support the academic and research process, providing an advanced educational and training environment. This will prepare qualified national cadres for the demands of the job market and is expected to improve the quality of educational and research outcomes, as well as the development of products and services provided to society.
