DUBAI: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, underscored the importance of international cooperation in technology during her visit to GITEX Global 2024. The event, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14-18, has seen unprecedented global participation in its 44th year, making it the largest edition to date. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed's presence at GITEX Global emphasized the event's role as a catalyst for cross-continental collaboration in the digital era. She remarked on the significance of building partnerships that transcend geographic boundaries to drive socio-economic sustainability and technological innovation. "With the brightest minds and the most pioneering enterprises working side by side, humanity can prosper in ways past generations could never have imagined," she stated during her visit. GITEX Global 2024 has successfully attracted over 6,500 exhibito rs, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries. The event's expansive influence was highlighted by Sheikha Latifa as she toured various pavilions, engaging with UAE and international entities exhibiting advanced technology solutions. During her visit, which coincided with the "Cybersecurity Day," Sheikha Latifa explored a range of innovative offerings. At the eand stand, she examined a "smart home" service that uses AI to adapt to user needs by analyzing preferences and health indicators. She also visited the Huawei booth to discuss new AI-driven products that facilitate digital transformation for businesses. Other notable stops included the H3C booth, where she was briefed on AI strategies, and the Kaspersky and Forcepoint booths, where she learned about cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions and services. GITEX Global continues to foster a robust international technology community, with plans to expand its network of events in 2025 to include GITEX EUROPE in Berlin, GITEX ASIA in Sing apore, GITEX AFRICA in Morocco, and GITEX NIGERIA, further driving global innovation in AI and other emerging technologies.
