Abu Dhabi:Syrian Minister of Finance Mohammad Yisr Barnieh has expressed his country's commitment to strengthening economic and financial relations with the United Arab Emirates. He highlighted Syria's enthusiasm for participating in the Council of Arab Finance Ministers' meetings, acknowledging the UAE's welcoming hospitality and support for Arab institutions.

According to Emirates News Agency, Barnieh made these remarks while attending the events celebrating the Arab Monetary Fund's Golden Jubilee in Abu Dhabi. He noted that the occasion celebrated the Fund's 50-year history, recognizing the progress made by both the Fund and the Council of Arab Finance Ministers over the years.

Barnieh further mentioned that his involvement in the meetings facilitated discussions with officials from the UAE Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, and other institutions. He expressed optimism about the potential growth in economic and financial relations between Syria and the UAE, which he believes will benefit both nations.
