UAE and Azerbaijan Conduct Second Strategic Partnership Meeting in Baku


Baku: The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Azerbaijan held the second meeting of the Strategic Partnership Cooperation Committee in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The meeting was co-chaired by Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, and Yalchin Rafiyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, with participation from senior officials of both nations.



According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting showcased the close bilateral relations and shared visions between the UAE and Azerbaijan. The event underscored their commitment to enhancing cooperation across key sectors within a structured framework aimed at achieving sustainable outcomes.



Both parties reiterated their cooperation in various areas and acknowledged the progress made in support of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They also discussed ways to bolster collaboration in fields including political and diplomatic affairs, economic cooperation, defense, law enforcement, education, culture, advanced technology, energy, and sustainability. Moreover, they reviewed the implementation of the 2025-2029 roadmap and prioritized joint projects.



Al Hajeri stated that the meeting signifies the growing development in relations between the two countries and represents a significant step towards achieving further integration and coordination in areas of mutual interest.



The meeting was attended by officials from various UAE ministries and companies, including the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Abu Dhabi Ports, Mubadala, Silal, Masdar, Dragon Oil, and XRG.
