Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his fraternal visit to the UAE. The leaders engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing fraternal ties and cooperation, with a focus on shared development priorities that could lead to greater prosperity for their respective nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the dialogue also covered recent regional developments, with both leaders expressing concern over their potential impact on regional and international security and stability. President El-Sisi voiced Egypt's condemnation of Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE, affirming Egypt's solidarity with the UAE and support for any actions taken to ensure its security and sovereignty.
The meeting included the attendance of prominent UAE figures such as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and other key ministers and officials. The Egyptian delegation included high-ranking officials like His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed and President El-Sisi visited the Egyptian fighter jet detachment stationed in the UAE. The visit aimed at reviewing the detachment's readiness and efforts to enhance operational capabilities in response to various challenges. The inspection was attended by senior UAE defence officials, emphasizing the collaborative defence efforts between the two nations.
