UAE and Georgia Enhance Cooperation Under Economic Partnership Agreement

Tbilisi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Georgian Prime Minister His Excellency Irakli Kobakhidze, focusing on enhancing cooperation in investment, the economy, agriculture, renewable energy, and sustainability. These sectors are strategic priorities in both countries' development plans.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions occurred at the Georgian government headquarters in Tbilisi during Sheikh Mohamed's official visit. The talks highlighted the growth of bilateral ties under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed by both nations.

The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing efforts to promote peace, stability, and development. Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to strengthening partnerships in the Caucasus region, emphasizing that peace is essential for prosperity and progress.

Sheikh Mohamed remarked that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, signed in 2023, marked a significant milestone in bilateral economic cooperation. He reiterated the UAE's commitment to fulfilling the agreement's objectives to support shared development and build partnerships serving mutual interests.

Prime Minister Kobakhidze welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and expressed confidence that the visit would propel deeper cooperation. He affirmed Georgia's interest in expanding collaboration with the UAE, drawing on its development model to achieve shared goals and sustainable growth.

Both sides expressed optimism about future progress in UAE-Georgia relations, supported by favorable conditions enabling joint development efforts.

The meeting included the exchange of an agreement between Eagle Hills - Abu Dhabi and Georgia's Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, and Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, represented their respective sides.

The talks were attended by several UAE and Georgian ministers and senior officials, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan.
