Athens:The visit of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Greece at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, marks a significant milestone in bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and Greece. This visit reflects the two nations' commitment to enhancing their comprehensive strategic partnership, which is built on mutual trust, shared interests, and a common vision for the future.

According to Wam, the visit is especially significant as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations established between the UAE and Greece in 1973. Over the past five decades, the two countries have nurtured ties based on mutual respect, political understanding, and cooperation, creating a foundation for deeper engagement.

The UAE-Greece relations have broadened significantly in recent years, evolving beyond traditional diplomatic cooperation into a comprehensive strategic partnership that encompasses various sectors such as the economy, investment, energy, and technology. Key areas of cooperation include artificial intelligence, advanced technology, clean energy, and digital infrastructure, providing opportunities to exchange expertise and develop joint projects. The Investopia Mediterranean - Athens event, held during Sheikh Khaled's visit, is part of ongoing efforts to bolster economic and investment cooperation, offering a platform for exploring new partnerships and engaging the private sector, especially in strategic and emerging industries.

The meeting also aims to enhance cooperation in food security, logistics, and supply chains, leveraging the strategic locations and economic capabilities of both countries to build more resilient trade networks and strengthen economic integration. Politically, the UAE and Greece share a commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, respect for state sovereignty, and international law, working together to address regional and global challenges and promote stability, peace, and prosperity.

This visit underscores the UAE's sustained efforts to fortify international partnerships, expand economic and investment opportunities, and deepen collaboration with strategic partners worldwide.
