Abu Dhabi:The UAE Cyber Security Council and SCC Middle East have announced the development of a new Centre of Excellence for Cyber Resilience and Trusted Technology. This initiative, unveiled during AI Everything Abu Dhabi, aims to serve both the region and the globe.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Centre will act as a collaborative space for government entities, enterprises, technology partners, and specialists to explore emerging technologies. It will also facilitate the testing of real use cases and help stakeholders understand how to adopt new solutions securely and at scale.
The Centre's initiative will follow a three-phase approach. The first phase focuses on building national capability through executive learning, practical labs, and specialist development in areas such as AI, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and critical national infrastructure. The second phase will serve as an incubator for UAE-made innovations, enabling startups to develop and scale their technologies by testing them against real-world requirements. The third phase aims to connect UAE-developed technologies with international markets and commercial opportunities.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, emphasized the Centre's role in transforming the UAE's ambitious goals in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity into practical capabilities. Daniel Valle, CEO of SCC Middle East, highlighted the Centre's purpose of bringing together the right technologies and expertise to solve real problems and build deployable solutions.
