UAE Horse Racing Authority Hosts First Trial Race of the Season

Dubai:The UAE Horse Racing Authority has announced that 41 purebred Arabian horses are set to compete in seven races during the first trial race of the new 2026-2027 season at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai. The races, scheduled for this evening, will cover a distance of 1,000 meters.

According to Emirates News Agency, the authority highlighted that 37 of these horses will be racing for the first time, while four have previous racing experience.

Rashid Al Balushi, a member of the Stewards Committee at the UAE Horse Racing Authority, emphasized the success of the trial race and its importance in preparing the horses for the season. He attributed the success to the positive collaboration among horse owners, trainers, and jockeys, which supports the UAE's commitment to maintaining high international racing standards.
