HERAKLION: The UAE Jiu-Jitsu National Team has completed the official weigh-in for the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, scheduled to take place from October 24 to 26 in Heraklion, Greece. Sponsored by the Mubadala Investment Company, the team is aiming to secure the world title for the fifth consecutive year, underscoring the UAE's prominence in the sport. According to Emirates News Agency, the team comprises top male and female athletes who have undergone over a month of intensive training to prepare for the competition. Fahad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, expressed confidence in the team's preparedness, stating that they are ready to compete at the highest level and achieve new milestones for the UAE. Mubarak Al-Menhali, Director of the Technical Department at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the athletes' commitment to enhancing their technical and strategic skills. He noted that the team is in peak physical and mental condition, ready to defend their title. Athlete Muhrah Mahfoudh, competing in the 70 kg category, emphasized the honor and responsibility of representing the UAE. She expressed gratitude for the support from the UAE leadership, the Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and the technical staff, affirming the team's readiness to achieve new victories.
