Abu Dhabi:The UAE Winter Sports Federation has officially become a member of the World Curling Federation, marking a significant step in the country's sports development initiatives.

According to Emirates News Agency, this membership is a strategic move by the UAE Winter Sports Federation to enhance international partnerships and collaborative efforts in the world of winter sports. The Federation intends to leverage this new association to expand its expertise and bolster its participation in international development programs.

Hamel Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Vice President of the Federation, emphasized that joining the World Curling Federation is a key component of their broader strategy to develop curling in the UAE. This membership is expected to facilitate the growth of national teams and increase their participation in both regional and international championships.

Al Qubaisi also outlined the Federation's ongoing strategy, which focuses on identifying and nurturing talent, improving the performance of national teams for international competitions, and aspiring to host more continental and international events.
