UAE Pavilion Opens at Egyptian Defence Expo 2025


Cairo: The UAE Pavilion has officially opened at the Egyptian Defence Expo (EDEX 2025), held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo under the patronage of Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces. The event, running until 4th December, features participation supported by the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement and the UAE Ministry of Defence and is organised by ADNEC Group.



According to Emirates News Agency, high-level meetings and visits from international delegations, military attach©s, and industry decision-makers are anticipated throughout EDEX 2025. Memorandums of Understanding are expected to be signed between UAE entities and international defence companies, underscoring the expo’s role in fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.



Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, highlighted the UAE Pavilion’s participation as a reflection of the UAE’s commitment to bolstering its defence industrial capabilities and enhancing international cooperation. He emphasized that this participation is aligned with the leadership’s vision to develop an advanced defence industrial base, expand strategic partnerships, and promote knowledge transfer.



Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADNEC Group, stated that ADNEC’s involvement aligns with its strategy to promote national defence industries, open new markets for local products, and enhance their regional and international competitiveness. The UAE Pavilion features national companies such as Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, and AMMROC, in addition to Al Jundi Magazine, the official journal of the UAE Armed Forces and ADNEC Group.



EDGE Group is showcasing its portfolio of solutions across air, land, sea, and cybersecurity domains, including aerial systems like the GARMOOSHA rotary-wing UAS and the SKYKNIGHT air defence missile system. Their sea and land systems, along with cybersecurity solutions, are also on display.



Calidus is presenting its advanced defence solutions, including the Sweihan armoured vehicle and the AlHeda missile system, with a focus on expanding in Middle Eastern and African markets. GAL is participating to strengthen its aviation support capabilities, highlighting its expertise in MRO and logistics. AMMROC is showcasing its military and commercial aviation services, aiming to build relationships in the North African region.
