UAE President Receives Written Message from South Korean President During Special Envoy Meeting


Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received a written message from His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, concerning cooperation between the two nations and prospects to enhance ties under their Special Strategic Partnership. The message was delivered by His Excellency Kang Hoon-sik, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea for Strategic Economic Cooperation, during a meeting at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi.



According to Emirates News Agency, His Excellency Kang Hoon-sik conveyed greetings from President Lee Jae-myung, along with wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. In response, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed extended his greetings to President Lee and expressed his aspirations for the Republic of Korea’s development and the strengthening of bilateral relations.



The discussion focused on advancing UAE-Republic of Korea cooperation as part of their Special Strategic Partnership, with an emphasis on priority sectors such as advanced technology, artificial intelligence, the economy, energy, defence technology, education, and culture.



The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit to the UAE last November, highlighting how the visit bolstered strategic relations and opened new pathways for future cooperation in key sectors. The meeting saw participation from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and several senior state officials.
