ABU DHABI: Participants in the 2nd Global Government Leaders Programme (GGLP) have been introduced to the United Arab Emirates' innovative strategies in government operations and future industry acceleration. The sessions, led by notable UAE officials, are part of a broader initiative aiming to enhance global leadership skills and strategic government management. According to Emirates News Agency, Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, and Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, conducted the educational sessions. Al Hashimi emphasized UAE's achievements rooted in its Vision 2021 and Centennial Plan 2071, outlining the nation's long-term goals and strategic frameworks. She highlighted the integral role of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) in instilling a culture of innovation within the government sector through practical models and resource support. During her presentation, Al Hashimi elaborated on the Government Ac celerators Centre at the Prime Minister's Office, applauding its adoption of private sector methodologies to expedite government initiatives and resolve stagnant projects. She detailed the Centre's successful implementation of 100-day challenges that focus on sustainability and long-term solutions to common governmental challenges. Khalfan Belhoul shared insights into the UAE's role as a global leader in innovation and international partnerships, stressing the country's advanced infrastructure and successful global project implementations through public-private collaborations. Belhoul also showcased the Dubai Future Foundation's efforts in future foresight, analyzing emerging trends to prepare for and capitalize on future opportunities. He concluded by discussing the "Future Opportunities Report: The Global 50", an annual publication by DFF that identifies key trends and opportunities for global partnerships. The GGLP, which includes participants from 31 countries, is a collaborative effort by the Governmen t Experience Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development, aimed at empowering government leaders with advanced tools and knowledge for future challenges.
