Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), affirmed that the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to launch a relief campaign for Lebanon is a testament to his commitment to humanitarian principles. He noted that this also reflects the UAE's growing role in providing humanitarian and development aid to brotherly and friendly nations. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that the "UAE Stands with Lebanon" campaign will enhance humanitarian response efforts for those affected by the current situation in Lebanon by providing essential needs, particularly medical supplies, food and shelter. ERC Chairman stressed the importance of coordinated international efforts to mitigate the humanitarian impact of the crisis and ensure that affected individuals receive the necessary support. He added that ERC will spare no effort in strengthening the campaign's initiatives, leveraging its expertise and resources to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people.
