Ravenna: The UAE's parachuting team celebrated an impressive achievement by securing six medals at the FAI World Style and Accuracy Landing Championship, which concluded yesterday in Ravenna, Italy. The event witnessed participation from some of the world's leading parachutists and skydivers.

According to Emirates News Agency, Abdulbari Qubaisi was a standout performer, clinching four medals. He earned a gold medal in the "Accuracy" category and three silver medals across the overall ranking, "Distance," and "Freestyle" categories. Qubaisi's exceptional performance, marked by full marks in the first and second rounds, garnered him a total of 291 points, securing second place in the overall ranking.

National team skydiver Cornelia Mihai contributed to the UAE's medal haul with two wins of her own. Mihai secured a silver medal in the "Speed" category and a bronze medal in the "Freestyle" category.

Mohammed Yousuf Abdul Rahman, General Secretary of the Emirates Aerosport Federation (EAF), commended the national team's remarkable performance. He also extended his gratitude to the Skydive Dubai team for their integral role in the success of the preparatory stage.
