Deir al-Balah: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has issued a dire warning about the safety of children in the Gaza Strip, asserting that "there is no safe place" for them amid ongoing conflict. The agency highlighted recent attacks, including the bombing of displacement tents at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which have resulted in severe casualties among children. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, UNICEF's statement came after distressing incidents in the Gaza Strip, where occupation forces bombed tents housing displaced people. These attacks have not only led to tragic losses but have also shaken the international community. "Today, our screens were once again filled with horrifying reports of children killed, burned, and families emerging from bombed tents in Gaza. These should shock the world to its core," UNICEF reported. In a post on X, the organization detailed the aftermath of the attacks on shelters in Deir al-Balah and at Al-Aqsa Hospital. These violent acts reportedly claimed the l ives of 15 children and highlighted the relentless dangers faced by the youngest residents of Gaza. "Attacks on shelters... prove again that there is no safe place in Gaza," UNICEF stated, calling for an immediate end to the violence. The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has been devastating, with over 140,000 people reported slain or wounded, including many children and elderly. More than 10,000 individuals are missing, and the region is experiencing massive destruction and famine, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
