Sharjah: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Sharjah, and Chairman of the 'Tamayuz' Institutional Excellence Award, the first training course of the Knowledge Empowerment Programme within the Institutional Excellence Diploma was launched at the university's headquarters. This initiative aims to prepare qualified professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead their institutions towards excellence in institutional performance, aligning with international standards of quality and innovation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the programme is implemented through the university's Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development as part of the strategic partnership between the university and the 'Tamayuz' Award. The Institutional Excellence Professional Diploma is a comprehensive programme comprising 120 training hours aimed at empowering teams within government entities to manage and implement excellence standards effectively.
The diploma includes 12 integrated training modules covering governance, leadership, resource and operations management, and enhancing employee and customer happiness. It also equips participants with skills to measure 'institutional maturity' and conduct gap analyses using advanced tools. The programme concludes with applied projects to achieve sustainable impacts on operational performance.
In addition to the diploma, the 'Job Excellence Programme' will be launched, targeting human resources professionals and organizational leaders with 40 training hours. This programme aims to enhance skills in innovation, continuous learning, and aligning individual performance with strategic objectives.
Ms. Muna Al Ghawi, General Coordinator of the Award, highlighted that the programme reflects H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi's vision of investing in human capital as crucial for the future. She emphasized the importance of continuous training in advancing the institutional and service sectors within Sharjah and transforming excellence into professional practices that improve community quality of life.
Dr. Asmaa Nusairi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development, noted that the university will dedicate its academic capabilities to facilitate knowledge transfer and build sustainable institutional capacities. The training will involve experts sharing practical experiences to foster excellence across professional levels, with a direct and sustainable impact as participating teams implement applied projects in their workplaces.
