According to BBC, the two-time Tour de France champion successfully cut two minutes from Traeen's lead during the challenging ride from Alfaro to the Valdezcaray ski resort. This marked Vingegaard's third stage victory in the event. Britain's Tom Pidcock and Joao Almeida were unable to match the 28-year-old Dane's pace, with Pidcock finishing 24 seconds behind in second place.
The stage nine results saw Vingegaard secure the top spot with a time of 4 hours, 32 minutes, and 10 seconds, followed by Pidcock and Almeida, who both finished strong. Felix Gall of Austria placed fourth, trailing the leader by 1 minute and 2 seconds, while Spain's Raul García completed the top five, 1 minute and 46 seconds off the pace.
In the general classification after stage nine, Torstein Traeen maintains the lead with a total time of 33 hours, 35 minutes, and 46 seconds.
