JERASH: Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth, Hussein Jbour, conducted an inspection tour of youth and sports facilities in Jerash Governorate, located in northern Amman, focusing on enhancing youth work and the ministry's developmental plans. During his visit, Jbour engaged with local officials and stakeholders to discuss strategic priorities and inspect ongoing projects aimed at improving youth engagement in the region. According to Jordan News Agency, Jbour held a meeting with Jerash Governor Firas Al-Fa'our to discuss key priorities for advancing youth initiatives and the Ministry of Youth's plans to develop its centers and programs. The meeting underscored the government's commitment to fostering youth development through infrastructure improvements and programmatic support. Jbour's tour commenced at the Jerash Youth House, where he met with heads and supervisors of youth centers participating in the "Introduction to Youth Work in Jordan" training program, organized in collaboration with the Unit ed States Agency for International Development (USAID). This program aims to equip youth leaders with the skills necessary to effectively engage and support young people in their communities. Further stops on the tour included the Jerash Sports Complex, where Jbour inspected the construction of a semi-Olympic swimming pool and the expansion of the seating capacity, projects that signal significant investment in local sports infrastructure. Jbour also participated in a dialog session with sports club leaders at the Al-Kitta Sports Club, emphasizing the critical role of sports, youth, and social activities in fostering community engagement and youth empowerment. Concluding his visit, Jbour toured the new Shabat Baleila Youth Center building and Al-Nahla Sports Club, highlighting the importance of sports clubs in fulfilling cultural and social missions within Jerash Governorate. He was accompanied on this tour by Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Majed Osaila, and Jerash You th Director, Hamza Al-Aqeeli, reflecting a coordinated effort to address youth and sports facility development in the region.
