Sharjah: The 21st International Education Show, a prominent educational fair in the UAE and the region, has officially commenced at Expo Centre Sharjah and will continue until October 11. Organised by Expo Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR), this year’s event features over 100 leading universities and educational institutions from more than 16 countries.
According to Emirates News Agency, the exhibition is held in cooperation with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and India’s Ministry of Education, offering a wide array of future-focused programmes to assist students in selecting their academic and career paths. The event was inaugurated by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Chairman of Expo Centre Sharjah, with several SCCI board members, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, senior government officials, and education leaders in attendance.
After the opening ceremony, attendees explored the exhibition’s various pavilions and stands, where a diverse range of academic and professional programmes were showcased by universities, colleges, schools, and training institutions from around the world. The event serves as a dynamic platform for students and parents to discover educational opportunities and academic disciplines presented by renowned universities and institutions from countries including the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Hungary, the United States, Georgia, Malaysia, and India.
The UAE’s top national universities are also participating, showcasing their rapid growth and distinction in higher education. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais highlighted that the International Education Show reflects Sharjah’s vision to advance knowledge- and innovation-based sectors, supporting the emirate’s economic sustainability and competitiveness.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa emphasized that the exhibition is an integrated educational platform that Expo Centre Sharjah is proud to host annually. It facilitates informed decision-making by bringing together representatives of leading local and international universities, providing direct access to information on admissions, scholarships, and academic specialisations.
The exhibition presents a comprehensive selection of academic programmes designed to equip youth with skills needed in today’s competitive labour market. Visitors can explore fields such as medicine, engineering, and business administration, and learn about admission requirements at top UAE universities.
The 2025 edition features advanced academic programmes and student support services from universities, colleges, and institutes across all study levels. With participation from global institutions and EdTech companies, the exhibition highlights innovations in educational technology and smart learning solutions.
Attendees also have access to information on university, postgraduate, and professional courses, as well as scholarship and admission opportunities at international universities. The International Education Show attracts tens of thousands of students and parents annually, hosting workshops and seminars by scholars and professionals focusing on aligning academic choices with job market demands.
The exhibition is open to female students on Wednesday and male students on Thursday from 08:00 to 14:00. On Friday and Saturday, it welcomes students and their families from 15:00 to 21:00.
