Manama, Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) has terminated the contract of national team coach Sam Vincent by mutual consent.
The former professional player took over as national basketball team coach in January 2020.
He led the national team which took on Syria and Kazakhstan in the third and fourth rounds of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers (Group D), which were played in Bahrain on February 24 and 27.
A BBA statement said that a new coach will be signed to lead the national team for the remaining world cup qualifiers and the 2022 FIBA Asian Cup which will be held in July in Indonesia.
