Environment Ministry launches 1st national campaign to raise awareness about climate change

Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad announced on Sunday the launch of the first national campaign to raise awareness about climate change issue.

The campaign comes as part of Egypt’s preparations for COP27 conference, to take place in November in the Red Sea city of Sharm el Sheikh.

Titled “Restore the environment to its nature”, the campaign aims to post films, messages, and media content on social media platforms and streets to encourage all segments of the Egyptian community to protect the environment from climate change consequences, Fouad noted.

The minister said the campaign sends a message to the world that the Egyptian citizen is a partner in implementing all plans aiming to confront climate change.
