PM inspects green, blue zones of COP27

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected Saturday 10/09/2022 the Green and Blue zones of the UN Climate Conference (COP27).

The Green Zone will be opposite to the conference center and will serve as an active space for youth, the various ministries, and the NGOs to shed light on the success stories and the game-changing ideas that address the negative impacts of climate change, Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad told Madbouli during his tour.

It will host events, exhibitions, cultural performances, workshops, and talks, she added.

Registration for the participation in the green zone was opened through the website of the conference, added the minister.

The registration is in line with certain conditions that ensure highlighting the success stories and the unique environmental experiences, she further said.

Madbouli also inspected a number of projects, which are being implemented in the Green Zone.

Following inspecting the Green Zone, the minister toured the Blue Zone, which is the UN-managed space at the conference.

The Blue Zone will witness holding general and private sessions along with a host of exhibitions and booths to be attended by heads of state, official delegations and media outlets.

In this respect, local officials said that development works are assiduously ongoing in the Blue Zone.
