Syrian Cinema Days Events kicks off in Sultanate of Oman

Muscat, SANA- The activities of “Syrian Film Days “have kicked off in the Sultanate of Oman Sunday’s evening, and will last for 4 days.

 

The event organized by the Syrian Embassy in Muscat in cooperation with the Omani Society for Cinema and Theater, includes the screening of the films (Blood of Palms) by Najdat Anzour),( The Last Breakfast) by Abdul Latif Abdel Hamid, (Dark Clouds) by Ayman Zidan and (Star of the Morning) by Joud Saeed.

“This event is a sign of the strength and firm ties of brotherhood and friendship that unite the two brotherly peoples”, Syria’s Ambassador to Oman, Dr. Idris Maya, said during the opening ceremony.

 

For his part, Hamid al-Amiri, President of the Omani Society for Cinema and Theater said that “holding such an event will provide a good opportunity for the Omani audience to watch the pioneering films presented by filmmakers in Syria, which raise important issues for man and society through a creative cinematic vision”.

 

“We are happy with this joint artistic action and look forward to developing this cooperation in the future” he added.
