Baghdad, The head of the Popular Mobilization Commission, Faleh Al-Fayyad, discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian prospects for cooperation in the security fields.
A statement by his media office said that Al-Fayadh received, on Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and his accompanying delegation.
According to the statement, during the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries, and enhancing prospects for cooperation in the security fields.
The head of the commission stressed Iraq’s keenness to maintain relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the interest of the two countries.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s keenness to support Iraq in various fields, especially in the field of combating terrorism.
