Global Quran learning goes online with Saudi’s initiative ‘Al-Maqraa’

MAKKAH: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has introduced its first-ever online service for Muslims around the world, where they can benefit from reciting and learning the Quran under the proper guidance of qualified teachers.

Al-Maqraa harnesses state-of-the-art technology, enabling learners to refine their recitation, master Tajweed, accomplish memorisation, and participate in post-memorisation reviews in six languages-Arabic, English, Urdu, Indonesian, Malay, and Hausa.

Participants have the opportunity to acquire licenses featuring a continuous Sanad (chain of narration) from certified teachers proficient in the ten well-known Quranic readings.

This comprehensive initiative by Al-Maqraa encompasses recitation correction, memorisation, review sessions, Tajweed rules, principles of readings, recitation practice, educational follow-ups, and live broadcast sessions.
