Israeli colonists attack sheepherders and farmers in Masafer Yatta, kill three sheep

HEBRON: Israeli colonial settlers tonight killed several sheep belonging to a Palestinian resident in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, and kicked sheepherders and farmers out of pastures, according to local sources.

Sources said colonists, coming from the nearby illegal Beit Yair colony, opened fire at a flock of sheep owned by a Palestinian resident, killing three and wounding a fourth one.

Colonists also pursued sheepherders in the Khirbet Mnezel area, located near the Beit Yair colony.

Sources added that herders and farmers were pushed off the pastures and their lands in several areas in Masafer Yatta, a collection of almost 19 Palestinian hamlets. Colonists also prevented a Palestinian farmer from entering his land.

They further planted trees on a road they forcefully seized. The road links two colonies built illegally on Palestinian-owned land in southern Hebron.
