WGS forums an opportunity to exchange success stories: Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy

DUBAI: Ahmad Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, highlighted the Jordanian government’s keenness to provide electronic government services and move towards digital payments, as well as developing human capabilities to effectively use those modern applications.

He also stressed the importance of providing an appropriate environment for startups and entrepreneurship in order to reach global markets.

Hanandeh noted to the Jordanian government’s keenness to participate periodically in the World Governments Summit, describing it as an opportunity to meet with decision-makers and policymakers, representatives of international organisations and partners around the world in various fields.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during his participation in the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024 held in Dubai, Hanandeh praised the participation of youth during the recent editions of the summit, which provides an opportunity for creativity and inno
vation.

He also praised the summit’s interest in the digital transformation which drives modern technology, adding that the summit forums provide an opportunity to exchange success stories in various sectors and share challenges and strategies that lead to maximising the benefits of those shared experiences.
