Princess Basma Leads Aid Efforts in Amman’s Wadi Al-Haddada


Amman: Her Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, Chairwoman of the Higher Committee of the Goodwill Campaign executed by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), spearheaded the distribution of aid to families in the Wadi Al-Haddada region of central Amman on Wednesday.

Princess Basma reiterated the campaign’s steadfast commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by underprivileged families across Jordan, particularly those helmed by women. This strategic focus aims to alleviate economic burdens and enhance living standards.

In a display of gratitude, Princess Basma acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the campaign’s Higher Committee and its supporters, underscoring their pivotal role in sustaining vital programs that promote solidarity and community welfare.

During her visit, Princess Basma engaged with stakeholders at the Princess Basma Center for Development, gaining insights into the pressing social and economic needs of the region.

Operational activities included the distribut
ion of essential provisions, Eid gifts, and Iftar provisions to families in need.

Additionally, Princess Basma extended support to the Nour Al Mohsenin Charitable Society, facilitating the development of a productive kitchen project aimed at bolstering the organization’s capacity to provide sustenance to vulnerable families.

Nawal Assal, President of the association, conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable support received, emphasizing the pivotal role of the kitchen project in fortifying the association’s humanitarian endeavors and providing a lifeline for economically disadvantaged women.

In a poignant gesture, Princess Basma visited the humble abode of a deserving family, where she outlined forthcoming interventions designed to ameliorate their living conditions, including maintenance and improvement initiatives.
