AL ARISH: The UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish has successfully conducted several intricate surgeries requiring laparoscopic intervention, providing essential medical aid to Palestinian patients and injured individuals. This initiative is part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, a humanitarian effort led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to address the crisis affecting Palestinians in Gaza. According to Emirates News Agency, the hospital's medical team recently completed two notable surgeries. The first involved a female patient who had sustained a recurrent dislocation of the right shoulder due to conflict-related injuries. The medical team performed a joint repair and alignment procedure, and the patient is now undergoing physical therapy, which has resulted in improved shoulder mobility. The second surgery addressed complications in the right knee joint of another female patient, whose fractures from the Gaza conflict had restricted knee movement. The surgical team successfully c leared the joint and removed adhesions, restoring the knee's flexibility to 120 degrees. Conducting these complex procedures aboard the UAE Floating Hospital is particularly challenging, as such operations typically require the resources of major specialized hospitals. The surgeries involved advanced techniques such as knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage grafting, and shoulder arthroscopy for muscle repair and stabilization. The expertise of the hospital's medical team, combined with the availability of sophisticated equipment, was pivotal in the successful outcome of these surgeries. These efforts are part of a broader commitment by the UAE to alleviate the suffering of the injured and wounded under the difficult conditions faced by Palestinians in Gaza.
