SAIF Zone Highlights Competitive Edge in Food Industry at SIAL Paris 2024

PARIS: The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone) has concluded its participation in SIAL Paris 2024, a prominent global food industry exhibition, attracting numerous exhibitors and visitors from around the world. The event, held in the French capital, served as a platform for SAIF Zone to draw foreign investments and encourage food sector companies to establish operations in Sharjah, reinforcing its status as a leading international hub in the food industry. According to Emirates News Agency, as part of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) delegation, SAIF Zone leveraged SIAL Paris 2024 to highlight its competitive advantages, such as advanced infrastructure, strategic location, and attractive incentives for investors, particularly in the food sector. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone, stated that the UAE's focus on enhancing the food and agriculture sector aims to increase its GDP contribution by $10 billion. He noted a 20% growth in the UAE's food trade in the first half of 2024, indicating a rise in food industry investments. Al Mazrouei emphasized SAIF Zone's commitment to supporting the UAE's National Food Security Strategy 2051 through its participation in the exhibition. He outlined the comprehensive investment incentives offered by SAIF Zone, which include logistics services and dedicated manufacturing and storage spaces, designed to meet the unique needs of the food industry and foster investor success. During the event, SAIF Zone showcased its growth opportunities and strategic plans for developing specialized industrial zones tailored to the food supply chain. SIAL Paris 2024, celebrating its 60th anniversary, provided a vital platform for sharing expertise and unveiling food sector innovations, further solidifying SAIF Zone's position as an attractive destination for international investors.
