Al ain: International Vision Sports Management (IVSM) has announced that the 11th edition of the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) will take place on November 14 in the Al Ain Region, Abu Dhabi. Since its debut in October 2023, ADXC has become a significant platform in the realms of jiu-jitsu and grappling, noted for its distinctive ruleset and match format that has drawn some of the sport’s top international athletes and garnered a devoted following among global combat sports enthusiasts.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of IVSM, emphasized that hosting the latest edition in the Al Ain Region underscores the championship’s ongoing contribution to bolstering the UAE’s standing as a leading global hub for jiu-jitsu and grappling. He attributed ADXC’s success to the unwavering support of the UAE’s leadership and its vision of leveraging sport to inspire future generations and enhance national identity.
Saeed Al Dhahiri, Destination Management Department Director at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, remarked that the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship has played a pivotal role in further establishing the emirate as a global center for combat sports. Beyond uniting world-class athletes and passionate fans, it continues to motivate and nurture local talent.
According to the Organising Committee, ADXC 11 will showcase a lineup of elite jiu-jitsu and grappling champions, with several special matchups designed to captivate fans present at the event and audiences worldwide. Over recent years, ADXC has featured some of the sport’s most recognizable figures, including Espen Mathiesen, Abdul Kareem Al Selwady, Aljamain Sterling, Amir Albazi, Neiman Gracie, Arman Tsarukyan, Pouya Rahmani, and Roberto Abreu (Cyborg).
The championship has also expanded its reach internationally, hosting editions in major cities such as Moscow, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and Balne¡rio Camboriº in Brazil.
