Madrid: The number of Hantavirus cases linked to a cruise ship outbreak has risen to 13, as announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) chief on Wednesday. The head of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, shared this update regarding the MV Hondius luxury liner, which has been at the center of the outbreak.
According to Emirates News Agency, Spain reported a new case among passengers who have been in quarantine, bringing the total number of reported cases to 13. Among those affected, three have died, although there have been no new deaths reported since May 2, Ghebreyesus confirmed.
In recent weeks, all remaining passengers, crew members, and medical staff have disembarked from the MV Hondius, marking a significant step in managing the outbreak linked to the cruise ship.
