Hamdan Bin Mohammed Attends Graduation Ceremony for Defence Personnel’s Leadership Programmes

Dubai: Under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the Ministry of Defence celebrated the graduation of participants from the Future Leaders Executive Programme and the Young Leaders Empowerment Executive Programme. This event, held in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, marked the 50th anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony, themed 'Proud of You for Making a Difference', was attended by senior officials and high-ranking leaders from both the Ministry of Defence and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of investing in people, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to serve as the foundation of the nation's development.

Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that empowering leaders with strategic thinking and future-focused capabilities is crucial for enhancing the UAE's competitiveness and supporting its international leadership. He expressed pride in the national talent making a positive impact across various fields and roles, noting that developing young leaders is an investment in the nation's future.

The ceremony marked the graduation of 50 Ministry of Defence staff, with 25 participants completing each programme. These programmes were designed in accordance with advanced international practices and aimed to enhance institutional effectiveness, adaptability, and strategic thinking skills.

The training programmes included intensive hours of in-person and self-paced virtual learning, preparing participants to understand future government directions and their impact on decision-making. The Future Leaders Executive Programme focused on transformational leadership, strategic thinking, and performance management, while the Young Leaders Empowerment Executive Programme aimed to enhance leadership and administrative skills among young national talents.

Both programmes utilized modern training methodologies, including practical interaction, case study analysis, and learning from global and local government experiences. Dialogue sessions as part of the 'Meet a Leader' initiative provided opportunities for participants to learn from leadership experiences and apply their learning effectively.

These efforts resulted in collaborative implementation projects that translated acquired knowledge into practical solutions, improving institutional performance and promoting a culture of teamwork and effective decision-making. The graduation reflects the UAE's commitment to investing in people as a means of development and supports the UAE's strategy to cultivate innovative government leaders ready to face future challenges.
