Emirates Jumping Team Secures Two Silver Medals at Asian Games

Tokyo:Emirates Jumping concluded its campaign at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 with a second silver medal, as Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi and Hudson de Vains claimed Individual silver after a dramatic three-way jump-off at JRA Equestrian Park.

According to Emirates News Agency, the achievement added to the team's earlier success of securing a Team silver medal, marking a successful Championship where all four combinations advanced to their respective Individual Finals.

Humaid Abdulla Khalifa Al Muhairi and his horse Mentos narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth in Competition A. Meanwhile, Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi and Enjoy de la Mure secured sixth place, and Sheikha Latifah Bint Ahmed Al Maktoum with Cornet XL finished seventh in the 1.55m Competition B.

Abdullah and Humaid advanced to Sunday's Competition A Final after clear rounds in the opening competition. Abdullah, sixteenth in the starting order, delivered a clear round with Hudson de Vains, leading to a three-way jump-off for the medals against Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Humaid faced a setback with four faults, ending his medal hopes despite an exceptional performance throughout the week.

In the jump-off, Qatar's Faleh Alajmi faced a fault, opening the door for Abdullah. However, a fault at a challenging oxer left Abdullah with silver, as Saudi Arabias overall achievements.

The Individual Finals concluded an impressive week for Emirates Jumping, leaving Tokyo with two silver medals and all four riders finishing in the top ten of their respective competitions.
