Abu dhabi: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority (NMA), highlighted the establishment of the NMA as a significant step towards creating a unified national voice and sharing the UAE’s story globally. This development aims to uphold the country’s achievements through a vision deeply rooted in national identity.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Hamed expressed that the UAE’s leadership places immense importance on evolving the media sector to stay relevant in today’s world. He emphasized media as a key component of sustainable development, safeguarding national achievements and enhancing the UAE’s international reputation.
Al Hamed conveyed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the NMA. He views this role as a national duty to translate the leadership’s vision into a modern media sector that aligns with the UAE’s global aspirations.
He acknowledged the achievements of the media sector in recent years, attributing them to the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their backing has been vital in developing an innovative media system.
