Abu Dhabi: To advance the technological infrastructure within the transport sector, Abu Dhabi Mobility, a division of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has established a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Presight AI Technologies. Announced during GITEX Global 2024, this collaboration is set to bolster research and development, as well as the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in mobility services. According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU will leverage Abu Dhabi Mobility's ongoing efforts to incorporate AI in enhancing transport efficiency, safety, and management. The agreement outlines several key objectives, including the development of traffic management solutions, corporate fleet management software, infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, a commercial transport AI system, and enhanced transport safety measures. Additionally, the MoU emphasizes knowledge transfer and skills development in AI, alongside initiatives for scalable projects in the mobility sector. This strategic partnership also aims to align the technical evaluation of AI solutions with the strategic goals of Abu Dhabi, thereby reinforcing Abu Dhabi Mobility's role as a pivotal player in the emirate's digital transformation in transportation. A dedicated team from Abu Dhabi Mobility will monitor and coordinate the execution of the agreement, ensuring that the collaboration effectively meets its targets and contributes to identifying viable investment opportunities based on the outcomes of the implemented projects.
