Emirates News Agency:The 17th session of the Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum (ADSJF) was held in Singapore, co-chaired by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and Dr. Tan See Leng, Singapore's Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry).
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum highlighted the strong bilateral relations and Comprehensive Partnership between the UAE and Singapore, with both sides committed to expanding cooperation in strategic areas such as investment, economic cooperation, energy, artificial intelligence, space, capacity building, and healthcare.
The UAE remains Singapore's largest trading partner in the Middle East, with a total non-oil trade valued at US$6.54 billion in 2025, emphasizing the significance of their economic partnership. New agreements in investment, government capacity-building, and industrial development were announced, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing cooperation.
A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the UAE Ministry of Investment and Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry establishes a three-year framework to enhance investment, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building initiatives. Another MoU between the Department of Government Enablement in Abu Dhabi and Singapore's Civil Service College aims to foster cooperation in government leadership and capability development.
Additionally, KEZAD Group, the Singapore Business Federation, and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation signed a Letter of Intent to create an industrial corridor between Singapore and Abu Dhabi, promoting trade links and industrial investment. The initiative will also help Singaporean companies explore growth opportunities in Abu Dhabi.
Furthermore, KEZAD Group and Witthal Gulf Industries agreed to explore the development of a sustainability hub within KEZAD, focusing on sustainable industrial activities and clean technology adoption.
The forum was attended by ambassadors and senior officials from the UAE and Singapore, reinforcing a relationship that has thrived for over 40 years, driven by trade, investment links, and strategic cooperation across various fields. The Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum, established in 2007, continues to serve as a platform for deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring collaborative opportunities.
