Abu Dhabi:Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi JINGDONG Property, the infrastructure investment arm of JD.com, has signed a deal with KEZAD Group to establish an advanced logistics facility in KEZAD Area A - KEZAD Al Ma'mourah. The development will feature approximately 150,000 square meters of warehousing space, expected to be completed by 2028.

According to Emirates News Agency, this facility aims to provide premium warehousing solutions and integrated logistics infrastructure to support both local and international businesses. It will enhance supply chain efficiency and facilitate smooth goods movement across regional and global markets.

The project will leverage JINGDONG Property's expertise in high-quality warehousing, intelligent operations, and green building. It plans to introduce smart automated warehousing systems and digital operations technologies, offering flexible, customized development services to its clients.

The new facility will strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a key logistics and trade hub, creating around 1,000 direct jobs in logistics, distribution, and administration. It will also generate indirect employment opportunities in sectors like manufacturing, retail, and transportation. The construction phase is expected to boost local job creation and economic activity.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, stated that the project reflects growing international investor confidence in Abu Dhabi's economy and highlights KEZAD's role in industrial growth and economic diversification.

Feng Guo, CEO of JD.com Middle East, noted that this facility represents a significant step in JINGDONG Property's expansion in the UAE. By utilizing KEZAD's strategic location and infrastructure, the project aims to deliver efficient multimodal logistics solutions for dynamic supply chains.

JINGDONG Property manages over 300 infrastructure assets globally, specializing in high-quality, green logistics parks and data centers, serving various industries including e-commerce and retail. The development aligns with KEZAD's commitment to enhancing Abu Dhabi's logistics capabilities as part of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy.
