Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has entered into a strategic partnership with ADIB Securities, a Sharia-compliant brokerage firm, to develop a digital onboarding platform aimed at improving the investor experience. This collaboration is set to streamline the process for investors to engage with investment opportunities on ADX. According to Emirates News Agency, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between ADX and ADIB Securities will focus on integrating the acquisition of a National Investor Number (NIN) and access to trading account APIs into ADIB Securities' mobile app and digital platforms. This integration will facilitate a more efficient onboarding process, eliminating the need for physical documentation and manual handling. Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADX, highlighted the initiative's alignment with Abu Dhabi's digital transformation strategy and its role in increasing investor accessibility. He noted that the number of new individual investors on A DX grew by 7 percent in the first nine months of 2024, totaling 1.1 million by the end of September. Alnuaimi emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with brokerage firms and partners to provide investors with essential tools and knowledge for successful investment activities. Mohamed Abdelbary, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of ADIB, expressed pride in this partnership, emphasizing its significance in advancing digital transformation in the financial sector. Abdelbary remarked that the new platform would make investment processes more accessible and efficient, thereby enhancing client confidence and facilitating easier entry into financial markets.
