Ahmed Bin Saeed Honours Winners of 5th Emirates Energy Award


Dubai: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, honoured the 33 winners of the fifth Emirates Energy Award. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the Emirates Energy Award, attended the event.



According to Emirates News Agency, the fifth edition of the award ceremony took place under the theme ‘Empowering Carbon Neutrality’, as part of the 11th World Green Economy Summit. The ceremony was attended by Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Award, along with experts and decision-makers in the renewable and clean energy sector.



H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized the significance of the Emirates Energy Award, stating that it embodies a commitment to advancing sustainability and reinforcing the UAE’s role as a key partner in global climate change combat efforts. The award has become a platform that fosters creativity and encourages the development of practical solutions to address climate challenges.



Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer highlighted the UAE’s commitment to achieving net zero by 2050 and underscored the award’s role in supporting the global transition towards a green economy. The award attracted international participation, further cementing its global standing as a platform fostering innovation in sustainable energy.



Al Tayer added that the award reflects the commitment to advancing the green economy and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, aligning with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. The award showcases practices in energy and circular economy, including solar power as a central pillar of renewable energy production.



The award honoured 33 winners from 250 entries across 24 countries, showcasing best practices in energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability, and environmental protection. It serves as an international platform for companies, institutions, and experts to showcase achievements in energy management and conservation.
