Al Ain City Municipality and Eagle Hills Announce New Development for Al Ain Oasis

Abu dhabi: Eagle Hills, in partnership with Al Ain City Municipality, has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform Al Ain Oasis into a serene, year-round destination. This initiative aims to reintroduce the historic landscape as a blend of food, nature, and leisure, offering a unique visitor experience.

According to Emirates News Agency, the reimagined Al Ain Oasis will feature distinctive outdoor dining options, communal spaces, and bespoke light installations that enhance the environment after dusk. The project will highlight Al Ain’s iconic palm groves and falaj waterways, emphasizing the site’s dynamic cultural significance. A notable addition is an Elevated Walkway, providing unprecedented views above the palm canopy while preserving the farms below.

A newly constructed Watchtower will provide panoramic views of the Oasis, underscoring its status as one of Al Ain’s natural treasures. Additionally, tech-enhanced pathways will invite exploration, while curated landscapes such as the Reflection, Ripple, and Mist Gardens offer immersive spaces inspired by the natural surroundings. These spaces are designed to encourage moments of reflection, play, and community connection.

The development will also incorporate authentic Emirati culture through traditional F and B concepts and thoughtfully designed seating areas. Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, emphasized the project’s goal to reinforce Al Ain Oasis as a cultural anchor and create an unforgettable visitor experience. Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality, highlighted the project’s importance in showcasing the Oasis’s historical and environmental value.

This initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to position the Al Ain Region as a leading travel destination for culture, wellness, and adventure, targeting 520,000 overnight leisure hotel guests by 2030. For generations, Al Ain Oasis has been integral to the city’s identity, with its unique palm groves and traditional farms, making it one of the UAE’s most cherished landscapes where nature and heritage converge.
