Cairo: The Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Centre (AMMROC) has entered into three strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI), marked by its leading industrial facilities in Egypt. These agreements aim to bolster cooperation in various industrial and technical fields, focusing on the development of joint capabilities in aircraft components, structures, and systems, as well as support for engine parts manufacturing and treatment, and enhancement of helicopter system maintenance programs.
According to Emirates News Agency, the signing occurred during AMMROC's participation under the UAE National Pavilion at the fourth edition of the International Defence Exhibition 'EDEX 2025', which took place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center from December 1 to 4. The event featured the involvement of major global defense and security companies, with the Pavilion supported by Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence.
The agreements were formalized at the Egyptian Pavilion in the presence of Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, and Mahmood Alhay Alhameli, Group CEO of Abu Dhabi Aviation. The MoUs were signed by Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, and Major General Engineer Mukhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI).
These MoUs underscore AMMROC's efforts to expand its industrial partnerships and enhance technical cooperation in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul, thereby supporting operational readiness and improving integration between both parties in the defense aviation sector.
AMMROC showcased models of the F-16 and C-130 aircraft platforms it supports through MRO programs during its participation at EDEX Egypt. The company engaged with partners and visitors in Hall 3 to highlight its advanced capabilities and explore new cooperation opportunities.
One of the MoUs signed with the AOI Aircraft Factory focuses on establishing a strategic framework for cooperation in the manufacturing, development, marketing, and selling of components, structures, and systems for fixed-wing aircraft, jet aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems. This agreement also includes aligning production line capabilities with AMMROC programs and enhancing inspection and testing work to meet high standards.
Another MoU with the AOI Engine Factory and Digital Manufacturing Center aims to enhance strategic cooperation in the overhaul, repair, manufacturing, treatment, and supply of engine parts and components. This includes collaboration on heat-treatment, surface-treatment, and coatings required for selected engine parts.
AMMROC's third MoU with Helwan Factory for Advanced Industries supports the development of helicopter maintenance capabilities, covering cooperation in the MRO services of helicopter components and systems, as well as manufacturing or modifying selected parts for AMMROC's operational platforms.
Dr. Nasser Al Nuaimi remarked on the significance of these agreements in advancing industrial integration and strengthening defense cooperation with Egypt. Mahmood Alhay Alhameli highlighted the strategic step toward expanding regional partnerships, especially in the Egyptian market. Jasem Al Marzooqi emphasized AMMROC's commitment to regional presence and partnership expansion in the military aviation sector, underlining the reinforcement of shared visions with partners in Egypt.
These partnerships aim to enhance military fleet readiness and expand AMMROC's service scope, aligning with the vision to develop world-class MRO capabilities and reinforce the UAE's position as a regional hub in the sector.
