Amman: The Eastern Military District foiled a narcotic smuggling attempt loaded by a drone coming from Syrian territory. A military official said, "The border guard forces in the eastern military region, in coordination with the security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected an attempt by a drone to cross the border illegally from Syrian territory to Jordanian territory. The rules of engagement were applied, and the drone was shot down inside Jordanian territory." The source added, "The seized items were transferred to the competent authorities."
