Caretaker Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, met Sunday with his Iranian counterpart, Seyyed Salt Mortazavi, within the framework of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran accompanied by a delegation of ministry staff.

According to an issued statement by the Labor Minister, “many positive matters of concern to both sides were agreed upon in various fields, especially inspection and training in the areas of labor, relations between workers and employers, vocational learning and craftsmanship, exchange of technical and engineering services, and specialized employment.”

The meeting included the signing of a memorandum of understanding between both the Lebanese and Iranian sides, whereby it was agreed that specialists from the two countries would follow up on the terms of the memorandum to be put into practice.

Bayram and Mortazavi hoped, during the meeting, that “the different experiences of the two countries would yield mutual benefit in all fields, especially entrepreneurship and job opportunities.”
